This is the 1996 Vintage Hallmark, Special Edition Barbie, 'Yuletide Romance', New in her box. This is the third in a series of Barbie Dolls designed for Hallmark. Throughout the years, greeting cards became popular during the reign of Queen Victoria of England in the 19th century. J.C. Hall in 1910 started the beginnings of Hallmark with picture postcards! The first Barbie by Mattel Inc. was introduced in 1959 at the New York American International Toy Fair. In 1994 a Series of Special Edition Barbie Dolls was created and offered especially for Hallmark, based on their historical archives.
